KAERU-BOY (book 1 of 2) is the manga charged tale of a dyslexic kid who discovers he can read the secret language of superheroes, turning him into one.
Dead parents, dyslexia, no friends and a family that just doesn’t understand him…KAERU-BOY is an angry kid who’s got every reason to hate the world but he’s the only one with the power to save it.
In case you’re wondering, Kaeru (pronounced Ky-Ru) is Japanese for “frog”.

Yeah. We were as confused as you are. What business do two geeky dads trying to make kids’ entertainment from their kitchen tabletops have bringing an intern on board? The short answer is… no business.
<– Meet Andre Martin. The guy who changed our minds.
Andre contacted me out of the blue a few weeks ago, interested in an opportunity to learn more about comics and publishing. After an hour long phone call, in which I spent most of my time trying to convince him that he didn’t need us, he managed to convince me that we needed him.
So welcome Kid Kong’s first intern. Andre’s responsibilities are still developing but he’ll definitely be taking on a good part of the Kaeru-Boy lettering as well as frequently updating the site for us. Stay tuned for his ramblings, marked “Internal Affairs“.
And wish him luck… we’re not the easiest people to work with. :)
