THE KONG MISSION

KIDKONG ENTERTAINMENT is a multimedia experiment born on the kitchen tables of Darrin Stephens and Jorge Vega– two dads, each looking to feed the voracious imaginations of their children.  As such, the company’s mission statement is simply the mission statement of every good parent:

We are dedicated to providing young minds with the tools, language and laughter that help cultivate imaginative play and practical problem solving. Our products are designed to speak to children without speaking down to them. To create experiences that not only capture a child’s wonder but their parents’ as well, leading to shared interests and fun family discussion.

KID CREATORS

Darrin Stephens is currently Senior Multimedia Artist at Texas A&M University. When he’s not hunched over a computer screen at work, you can find him at home battling his 3 boys with lightsabers. In his free time, you can find him hunched over the kitchen table penciling and inking the next page of Kaeru-Boy. You can reach Darrin via email at darrin@kidkong.com or follow him on Twitter.

Jorge Vega is an accomplished writer, teacher and public speaker based out of Brockton, MA. His first major graphic novel, Gunplay, was released in 2008 and received critical acclaim. When he’s not working on Kaeru-Boy, he’s usually watching “Dora the Explorer” with his two little girls. Jorge is available for speaking engagements at schools and/or private functions. Please email jorge@kidkong.com for further details or follow him on Twitter.

KID INTERN

Andre Martin is currently Graphic Design student from his hometown of Long Island, New York. When he’s not fine tuning the look and feel of Kaeru-Boy, he is usually at home studying or wielding an Xbox 360 controller.  In his free time, you can find him enjoying the company of friends.  Contact Andre at andre@kidkong.com and follow his latest encounters on Twitter.
